The past few decades in Asia have seen a significant shift from manufacturing to industrialisation. The industrialisation process has brought about the rise of the upper-middle class, the growth of their cultural demands and the creation of urban artistic zones.

Creative spaces help to promote public participation, community inclusion, education and cultural exchange. However, cities need to equip themselves with the talent, technology and social infrastructure to become more attractive to artistic communities. This session will discuss the benefits of creative spaces for cities and the ways in which cities can better include arts and heritage in their way of life.
